My Dearest Doll

I deserve less than the joy I find, in being the mom of a smile divine,
His 'aye's and 'ooo's make me dance and prance for reasons I could never find.

Cushioned up against my arm, I could find none better to hold,

The comfort we find in each other's warmth brings joy of which can hardly be told.

I love to wake only to find him snug in my arm and on my mind,
We talk a language just we seem to know,
We share a space no one can go.
To my surprise, I have found myself with time now, much better spent,
Living each moment knowing that it will pass but with a lasting stamp.

Forever Mine !!!

Can't believe this miracle
Living inside of me
A little bean of tenderness
Spreading its wings gently
Everyday and every moment
Nothing else can soak my mind
All things pass away in time
But you remain, forever mine!

Am I in Labour yet ?

It started in church on Sunday morning;
A place where all new beginnings are blessed;
That pressing tightening of my uterus,
A fateful ceremony no less.

It continued - to tighten and relax, is a guess;
As I headed on along my way;
A fine Sunday morning; meeting friends,
Did I feel uneasiness? Feels heard to say!

'Nothing serious' I think to myself;
As the day of surprises unfolds;
My best buddies with most adorable gifts,
Gleefully pop at my door!!!

Again start the horrid contractions, a pain I begin to ignore;
Mom says they aren't what I think they are; she doesn't look quite sure though!

As evening approaches into night,
I feel them; hard pains make me sick,
Husband begins faithful research;
And keeps track to make sure it isn't just Braxton Hicks :D !

Finally the clock strikes twelve,
We turn off the lights and go to bed;
The pain I felt, my sleep dilutes ;
Water breaking scenes wring right through my head!

I wake this morning fresh and alive,
After a heartfelt prayer and deep sleep,
I feel the little one move much less,
My stomach now covers my feet :) !

The day begins and passes by,
With contractions, not as regular as you can bet,
I've read and listened, still unanswered is my question,
"Am I in labour yet?"

Satan you Coward !

Deceiver they call you and that makes you proud;
Funny your ambition's so shallow.
From God's right hand to nowhere to stand;
You pretend to wear your fake hallow!

You stride in the filth of false glory;
And manipulate the vulnerable crowd.
You hunger and thirst for a little self-worth;
Too bad, that's no prize for the proud!

A spectacle you make of your stunted cults,
A skull, some blood, a pentagram so heinous;
A star from your name and some number to your game;
It pleases you to get a little famous!

Your age old ambassadors, the serpent, the crow;
Are God sent, has it ever occurred to you?
And they are more loved that you ever will be;
You should stand up and face the truth !

You think you have worshipers, but all that you have;
Is a bunch of confused, paralyzed owls;
Who'd scare you off like a whimpering rat
If you dare to hand their souls back!

You prowl at night, afraid of the light;
Pathetic and scared, you'd never dare
To face your fate, though you're never too late
To try your fowl play and re-create!

Bending mans' thoughts through music and books;
With talent - a gift from the start;
You make it a point to be part of the noise;
Insecure - almost as if you have a heart!

What you think amuses you is lust and envy,
Murder, jealousy and wealth..
But don't you run away from what you truly crave the most,
'The Love of God'- just like everyone else!

Waking Up to the Dead

Looking up from the coffin
I see you look down at me
A strange comfort in your unknown gaze
I look around for a familiar face

I feel less life in my cold veins
The sun rays penetrate my skin
A rare warmth strengthens  me
A gush of blood hits my head
I am still; but not as frozen as they are

My searching eyes don't give up
Everywhere they've looked but to my side
I see you lying beside me like every night
And I feel safe; I rest in peace.

My Profession – Your Designation ;)

I’m waiting to hear those longed-for words;
When all I get is the rest of a story,
Could it be perhaps a “Communication Gap”?
Or do we just misunderstand so perfectly? ;)

And when the story is over,
It is a HOLY silence; that fills empty spaces in time;
Then in that last moment when no more can be borne;
The crutch of the sacred “I’m sorry” helps move past the line!

The only questions you answer
Are the ones that are rhetoric,
You see no difference perhaps :p
You think I’ll get hurt, and you say something worse :D
Could this again be the “Communication Gap”?

Sometimes you might think I’m barely done laughing;
when I’m most certainly crying in my lap,
I talk about my heart; you spray about your boss,
Perhaps it’s just the "Communication Gap”

My Poetry, I know is rather too blaming;
But lo! I have fun at doing that ;)
I hope you get what I truly mean;
Else blame it on that wretched ‘Communication Gap” !!!

My Daily Cruise

I doze, I struggle to wake;
The splash of water on my face
Wakes me up, the warmth of each drop;
and the love with which it was made;
.. and I am grateful

I'm in pain, I struggle to breathe;
Wished I had better control over stress;
The hot steaming tea refreshes me;
I bless the man who kept it there;
..... and I am grateful

I walk, I stop, I sit, I walk again,
I hear the screaming, splash the muck,
How I crave for some peace;
I stick my ear-phones in my ears, I'm in paradise;
I feel privileged to experience such luxury
........ and I am grateful

The pain in my limbs begins to cease,
A different kind of energy flows through my veins
I feel inspired, I write a song,
Nothing in this moment can go wrong
........ and I am grateful

I see the engine, hear the sound
I make a small cross on my forehead
The powerful assurance of protection
I step in, oops.. I jump, no - I am pushed!
Alas I am safely aboard, standing somewhat on my toes,
An hour's journey begins…..
............... and I am grateful

I step out an hour later and make it to my second home
I get busy with this or that,
I smile, I laugh, I cry, I joke,
The daylight casts its final shadow,
It's time to make my journey back
.................... and I am grateful

I leap into a train this time, almost as if my energy has doubled;
Probably the joy of returning homeward sets on a current;
Sometimes blessed with great company;
I alight an hour or so later, stumbling along a cramped bridge
I feel one with the spirited crowd, climbing up, climbing down;
I am happy, I smile, I see that someone is waiting, just like yesterday,
We talk, we fight, we laugh, we cry, till we say our goodbyes,
I am finally home, meet familiar eyes, familiar frowns, familiar smiles,
O! the love of family;
I hit my bed, I say goodnight, I join my hands,
.......................................and I am grateful

Inexplicable Yet True !

*This poem doesn't not imply that being ambitious is wrong. It is a

thought to express the needlessness of our efforts to compete with God
because we are only His creation*

Wonder how buildings tower yet never reach the sky?
Climbers seek to reach the peak but miles from reaching high;
Reached the moon and galaxies - from where no place to go
The depth of mighty waters only brings us back ashore..

To every notion, we look for reason and seek till it satisfies
None has gained All Knowledge yet zeal to attain it lies;
Scripture teaches us contentment - yet again,
We let that go by..

Ambition reigns in trying to beat men of the human clan;
Competing with heaven is and never was part of the plan.
He gives us in plenty, forever providing, each need to satisfy ...
To reach the sky, no reason why we even wish to try !!

An Ode to my Mentor

There seldom is reason for us to believe,
That the things we want are the things we need;
Yet I wanted all that glittered - so bright and fine
When whom I needed has been here all this time ..

Values now part of me;
Came from his righting my every wrong
His actions make me question mine
He inspires my work, my song ..

His comfort can turn my every loss into gain,
His love brings me a joy my heart can’t contain,
My life has no truth bigger than this -
That what ‘I am’ is because of who ‘he is’ ..

The journey of my life I owe with no regret;
To the hand that helped me take my first step
And if there is one thing in this world I cannot exchange,
It is the gift of a father who’s lives up to the name!

Original Perspective Quotes

Expectations

Setting Expectations limits the list of possibilities - don't you think?

Theft

What is theft but an exchange of loss for gain!

Climb

A successful climb comes out of the effort of exerting backwards to plunge forward

Bitterness

My face twists, I splurge foul sounds, I lack, alas! I'm bitter

Moral

My story is short. Has it not a moral already?

Events

It's crazy how the day unfolds with events that you could have hardly imagined, some that leave you grateful for your job and others that leave you grateful for your life!

STORY OF SALVATION

The breath of fresh life
A pure water stream
Tainted with love
No sin in between

The silvery black manipulator
Won its way through luscious fruit;
Simple and sly, heaven's worth it cost;
Once that was formed was now all but lost

The creator was one with his creation no more
Evil prevailed no peace to restore;
Disease and destruction, the question remained
Would there be a garden of Eden again?

Then in a lowly manger was born a humble babe,
Who was to know He came to save?
That which was lost he came to find;
To embrace the sinner, to heal the blind

The risk He took was much too grave,
With boundless love; he freely gave
His broken body our souls to mend;
That we may see the garden of Eden again!

The Struggle of A Soul

You gave me birth
A burden I bear
Not only mine
But also your share

What I take
Is not mine to own
Its only a role I cannot postpone

Don't lie to me
Just tell me the truth
Say a word or two
To push me on a little more
It's harder still; no sight of shore

The onward road
I wish it took me back
To where we played, we prayed, we sat

I look for comfort
I find it nowhere but in the moment
I sit and stare

To you it all seems good I guess
Or maybe not
A tea break from the chess
When you rock I must stay firm
One for us must grip on or else we'll drown

No maybe there is another way
In an old book that they call holy
'Where is your faith?' said someone with authority

I hear that voice, I bury it in
I want to hear it yet again
A struggle with my inner self
I let it out or so I think
Unleashing anguish, anchoring faith,
I'm in between, still holding on
Waiting for you to calm the sea
I now give you authority.
